What fears have you overcome and how?
As this focus with Iran’s nuclear threat has subsided for the moment. We must think of the future. This government is completely like the other. They are not to be trusted. If we make peace with Iran we will only restart the clock of destruction.
Iran has the plans and the scientists to build a bomb. The fact that they want to keep the uranium tells us they have not given up the idea of a bomb.
As the immediate focus on Iran’s nuclear threat has subsided for the moment, we must now think about the future. This regime is no different from the one before it. It cannot be trusted.
Iran already has the knowledge, the plans, the scientists, and the infrastructure to build a bomb. The uranium is not just material – it is intent. If Iran truly had abandoned the idea of a nuclear weapon, it would not fight so hard to keep enriched uranium inserted own control.
The fact that they want to keep it tells us the danger has not passed. They have not surrendered their ambition. They are only trying to preserve the option.
If it truly did dismiss their plans they would give it up, remove it, or destroy it under international control. Peace with Iran cannot simply restart the clock. It must remove the clock.
While President Trump debates what to do with Iran, we can only hope he is thinking beyond the temporary pause. A pause is not peace. A delay is not security.
It is not enough to restart the clock. The clock must be removed forever.
We can look back to another nation that had ambitions to build a bomb, Libya under Gaddafi agreed to give it up and allowed the United States and international inspectors to come and remove the nuclear equipment and documents.
Iran should understand the lesson clearly. Once military action begins, the next step may not be negotiation —it may be annihilation. The regime should not wait until that moment arrives. It should give up the uranium, surrender the program, before the decision is made for them.
